Beginner Argentine Tango in London Bridge
Two Ways to Start Argentine Tango in London
Start with our flexible Wednesday beginner class, or join our 4-week Monday foundations course. Both are welcoming starting points for complete beginners.
A Welcoming Place to Begin
Starting tango for the first time can feel exciting, inspiring — and sometimes a little intimidating.
That’s why we offer two different ways to begin in London Bridge: one flexible and ongoing, the other structured across 4 weeks. Both are designed to help you start with confidence, support and authentic guidance from the very beginning.
Two Beginner Pathways
The best choice depends on whether you want to start flexibly at any time, or begin with a fixed 4-week foundations course.
Flexible Weekly Beginner Class
Start Any Wednesday
Our Wednesday beginner class is an ongoing weekly entry point for complete beginners, as well as for those returning to tango and wanting to restart gently.
Because you can join any week, it’s ideal if you’d like to begin right away without waiting for a fixed course start date.
A special part of Wednesday is that it takes place within Abrázame Milonga, giving you the chance to experience a real social tango setting, meet people from the community, and watch more experienced dancers in the same evening.
This option is ideal if you want:
✔ To start straight away
✔ A flexible weekly format
✔ A welcoming place to restart tango
✔ To experience the milonga atmosphere alongside class
Location:
La Pollera Colora, 4–6 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9SG
Wednesday Beginner Intro: £15
4-Week Wednesday Starter Pass: £70
Structured 4-Week Foundations Course
Begin on Monday
Our Monday course is a structured introduction to the foundations of Argentine Tango, designed for complete beginners who want to begin with a fixed 4-week format.
Across 4 weeks, you’ll take your first steps in tango through a clear beginner learning process, building the foundations that can then continue into the next stage of beginner development.
This option is ideal if you want:
✔ A fixed start date
✔ A 4-week course format
✔ A step-by-step introduction to the foundations
✔ To begin with a group of fellow beginners
Location:
Activity Room 1 & 2, Boland House, St Thomas’ Street, Guy’s Campus, London SE1 9SG, King’s College London
Starts: Monday April 20
Duration: 4 weeks
Price: £70 per person
Which One Is Right for You?
Choose Wednesday if you’d like a flexible weekly class you can join at any time, or if you are returning to tango and want a warm, social place to begin again.
Choose Monday if you’d prefer to begin with a fixed 4-week foundations course and a more structured step-by-step introduction to beginner learning.
