Château Lou Casteou – Your Home in the Côte d’Azur
CHÂTEAU LOU CASTEOU is a beautiful château located in the stunning Esterel mountains, just five minutes from the sandy beaches of the French Riviera and the clear, blue Mediterranean Sea. Built in 1904 by Lord Amherst of London, the château retains its original architectural features while offering tasteful luxury and state-of-the-art comfort.
Located just 40 minutes from Nice airport and 35 minutes from Cannes, access is simple and fast. The château’s luxury, air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms are individually designed in classic French style, with either beautiful sea views over the Bay of Saint-Tropez or panoramic views across the Esterel Mountains.
Enjoy gourmet meals al fresco by the pool, under the cloisters, in the courtyard, or in the elegant dining rooms within the château. The property is surrounded by olive groves and peaceful gardens, with views towards the Esterel range and the Mediterranean. A short five-minute drive takes you to the historic town of Fréjus — with its Roman amphitheatre, Provençal market, cafés, restaurants and sandy beaches.
This retreat is presented by Tango en el Alma in partnership with Château Lou Casteou. We are also delighted to collaborate with Morag, owner of the château, whose warmth and exceptional hospitality help create the beautiful atmosphere our guests enjoy.

Inside the château you’ll find grand staircases, atmospheric salons and wooden floors that transform into a beautiful space for tango workshops, technique labs and evening practicas. There are also quiet corners, reading rooms and a games room for shared fun.

We create a balanced environment of leaders and followers to ensure a comfortable, fluid and fulfilling experience for everyone — whether you join with a partner or independently.
We welcome dancers with a variety of experience levels. Workshops are designed so each guest receives appropriate challenge, refinement and individual attention, allowing everyone to grow confidently while enjoying the supportive group energy.
Our goal is for every dancer to feel seen, encouraged and inspired throughout the retreat.
Rooms & Pricing
Most rooms are luxury king-size ensuite rooms. Twin rooms and single occupancy rooms are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Early booking is highly recommended.

Letitia Simone & Andrés Sosa are internationally recognised Argentine Tango artists and educators, known for their expressive style, musicality and deep connection to tango’s cultural roots.
Based between London and Buenos Aires, they teach, perform and curate high-quality tango experiences for communities worldwide, with a focus on authenticity, artistry and connection.
Their retreats combine deep technical training with cultural immersion, shared meals, laughter and a sense of family — creating tango journeys that stay with you long after you return home.
